Little Portion News
A new Brother, Br. Anthony Purfield made his solemn Profession into the Order this month. Please remember Br. Anthony in your prayers as he seeks to serve the Lord as a consecrated minister and servant of the gospel.
Sr. Joy has left us (maybe just for a season) as she feels at this time 'called to be a solitary Oblate, to pray for the healing of the world'. We will miss her
gentle wisdom but look forward to seeing how the Lord leads her in the days ahead. Sr. Joy leaves with our blessing knowing that she is free in Christ Jesus and loved.
A New Brother, Br. Nemo, made his Profession into the Order at his home Parish Church in the USA on the 2nd February. Please remember him in your prayers as he sets out as a consecrated Brother within the Order.
Br. Michael Daly. CJ
We are pleased to announce that Brother David Holdsworth. CJ is now writing a ‘Thought for the Week’. You can locate this under the ‘Home’ button menu.
(Br. David has also written a book “Angelos” which can be purchased from Amazon and there is a Kindle version available too).
October 2014 - Update.
The ministers, wardens and church fellowship have requested the Companions of Jesus to return to St. Barnabas Church and re-establish the Little Portion and its ministry there. The diocese has also recently thanked us for our support and ministry over the past four years and have told us they would be pleased for us to remain in situ.
Most of the concerns which caused the Order to move out have now been dealt with. There remains a few matters which we hope will be resolved in the very near future.
You may again contact us via the Church office at St. Barnabas and the Welcome Page has been duly amended.
May I ask your continued prayers as we seek to serve the church and local community here in Bexhill-on-Sea.
Peace and Good to All

Please pray for Sister Alison, who is now in a Hospice.
August 2014 - Update from The Little Portion - Bexhill-on-Sea
Sadly the Little Portion had had to move out of St. Barnabas Church in the centre of Bexhill.
We have had to close the Soup Kitchen in St. Barnabas and remove our ministry from there due to a number of difficulties both internally within the framework of the church and due in some part to external pressure. Everything has a season and our season at St. Barnabas has come to an end...for the moment at least.
We must trust the Lord and wait upon Him and His guidance.
Until we re-locate, the ministry will continue in part, within the town and at other churches in the area. All land mail and requests for prayer should now come via 'Abba's Place', as noted on the Welcome Page.
Pax et Bonum!
May 2014 - Update from The Little Portion - Bexhill-on-Sea
Life is quite busy at The Little Portion. Sister Sally's corner in St. Barnabas is often filled with people needing a listening ear and prayer. We now hold a monthly Mass / Communion Service at a local care Home which is always enriching. A number of House Blessings have been asked for recently as well as a couple of Exorcisms of places. The Soup Kitchen is well used now as well as the Clothes Store. Our special thanks go to Angie and Kevin who run the St. Barnabas Community Cafe and oversee the Soup Kitchen for us.
House Masses are available on request as well as home visits. The sacrament of reconciliation/Confession is available by appointment. Healing Prayer and ministry is available on a daily basis.
Easter Blessings to all our readers!
Christ is Risen!
He is Risen Indeed!
May the Lord Jesus Christ bless you and keep you in His love!
We now have a few photo's in the Gallery Section showing the Clothes Bank and Br. Michael attempting to sort them out.
Remember to keep praying!
Peace and Good to all!

The Little Portion Clothes Bank at St. Barnabas Church in Bexhill-on-Sea, East Sussex, UK, is in need of good quaility clothing. We are in particular need for good strong shoes, Sleeping Bags and Coats that are warm and weather proof. God gives good gifts and we should do the same for those in need. If you can help please contact Brother Michael or Sister Sally or 01424 210036. Thank you for your love and gifts to those less fortunate.
